Nervous energy and super charged anticipation filled the air as the “racing” drivers lined up in the pit lane waiting to open the throttle and hit the track. With a roar of the engines, the drivers unleashed the power of their cars and enjoyed an unforgettable and thrilling experience driving around Kyalami Race track in Johannesburg.

DHL Express invited customers to a Formula One™ themed client day as part of their sponsorship cross leveraging programme. Clients were greeted to a sea of DHL yellow as they arrived at Kyalami. All guests given full race briefing and the appropriate kit to wear before they were assigned their single seater Renault racing cars. The guests were divided into 2 groups and spent 45 minutes pushing the boundaries of their fear as they drove their cars faster and faster around the track.
Gugu Zulu “The Fastest Brother in Africa” was our MC and guest speaker for the day, his experience on the track and his driving tips was greatly appreciated by everyone. Each guest went home with a personalised photocard and a bag full of DHL Formula One ™ gifts and hours of dinner party tales of his day at the track with DHL Express.
