Treble announces Princess Charlene’s patronage of Lifesaving South Africa

Umhlanga, Durban – It was a gathering of well-known local dignitaries and friends of Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco, who were present to witness the announcement of The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in South Africa’s patronage of General Tire Lifesaving South Africa. Treble was there to pull out all the stops and deliver a royal-standard event.

Treble staged the announcement at the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga and was attended we invited such dignitaries as former South African Rugby star John Smit and current Springbok Tendai The Beast Mtwarira. Numerous South African Surf Legends were also there to make their presence felt, including Shawn Thompson and Jason Ribbink. The host for the night was South African comedian and the official LSA brand ambassador, Siv Ngesi, who kept the crowd in giggles throughout the evening.

As the exclusive commercial partner to Lifesaving South Africa, Treble worked with LSA to secure HSH Princess Charlene to come on board as the official patron to the impactful organisation. Having a common goal and vision of promoting water safety, HSH Princess Charlene accepted this special call, which is close to her heart.

Mr Gavin Varejes, President of PCMFSA, also announced the distribution of two-hundred rescue boards, valued in excess of R 2 million, from PCMFSA to LSA, in conjunction Cell C and Richmark Holdings. This will see that every LSA-affiliated lifesaving club in South Africa receives rescue boards to carry on their critical service to the community. DHL came on board again to manage the delivery of the rescue boards to all clubs in the country.

The Treble team facilitated our usual world-class standard of event management, securing the venue, coordinating décor and catering, and delivering the dazzling branding solution. We are extremely grateful to Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco, for taking on this role and we look forward to working with her Foundation.

Treble delivers smooth activation for DHL Newlands Super Rugby send-off

Newlands, Cape Town – This past weekend saw DHL Newlands Rugby Stadium buzzing with thousands of rugby fans for the much-anticipated Super Rugby quarterfinal between the DHL Stormers and the Chiefs. The DHL Stormers played hard but ultimately, the result was disappointing.

Treble continued to oversee the competition activations on behalf of DHL Africa. Eight lucky winners of the DHL Couch Experience got to watch all the rugby action right on the field, just meters away from the goal posts! And our team of professionals were back on the field at half-time to managed the DHL Half-Time Run Challenge, where five lucky contestants got to charge across the field and back for a cash prize of R1,000, courtesy of DHL Africa.

At the end of the match, we activated the exclusive PostNet Kids Signing Session. PostNet invited 20 girls from the Bettaway Organization for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the DHL Stormers.

The DHL Newlands food and beverage solution was also taken care of in the usual seamless and successful fashion. The stadium bars and kiosks were bustling with thirsty and hungry fans and we and our vendors delivered generously. The 100’s Bar and exclusive Club Newlands Lounge were crowded with patrons, regular and new, and the Club Newlands Castle Lawns saw a great Super Rugby send-off with a packed crowd.

Treble has truly enjoyed being part of the Super Rugby action at DHL Newlands. We would like to thank the Western Province Rugby, the DHL Stormers, DHL Africa, PostNet Southern Africa, South African Breweries and BokRadio for making this a memorable experience. We now look forward to igniting the stadium for the Currie Cup!

Treble partners with KFM and Impact Exhibitions to deliver EGE: Electronics & Gaming Expo

Newlands, Cape Town – Treble is excited to announce that we have joined forces with renowned event organisers, Impact Exhibitions, to deliver the Electronics & Gaming Expo, or EGE, for 2017 and beyond. In addition, we have welcomed communications giant, KFM, as the official communications partner to EGE.

Treble has also embraced VS Gaming as the title sponsor to the 2017 edition of EGE. VS Gaming is South Africa’s largest independent gaming brand and the leading platform for online gaming in Africa. For almost a decade, they have been devoted to providing regular gaming tournaments across all major game titles and skill levels, demonstrating a passion for virtual sports that is aligned with South Africa’s local community of gamers.

On June 20, VS Gaming announced that they will be staging the DOTA2 Masters Grand Finals at EGE in Cape Town, with a prize pool of R 550,000.00.

EGE is expected to host over 15,000 attendees this year, from all over South Africa. Treble is thrilled to be part of the EGE experience and we look forward to working with Impact Exhibitions, KFM and VS Gaming this coming weekend.

Treble back in action for DHL Stormers Super Rugby victory

Newlands, Cape Town – This past weekend was a double-victory for the DHL Stormers when they took on the Sunwolves in their Super Rugby encounter at DHL Newlands.  The DHL Stormers played with full force, showing great defence tactics and an outstanding performance overall. Springbok newcomer, Dillyn Leyds was ablaze with two tries and gave up his third opportunity to former Blitzbok, Cheslin Kolbe, letting him score his second consecutive Super Rugby hat-trick. The DHL Stormers also walked away with the Super Rugby Africa Conference 1 trophy.

Treble was amped to return to DHL Newlands and oversee the DHL activations. We were especially proud of the DHL Stormers’ grand entrance, ensuring that they arrived in style with their newly-branded DHL Bus. We had been working alongside DHL for a few days to rebrand the team’s wheels, representing WP Rugby’s new message of, “We Stand Together.”

Treble hosted the DHL Couch Experience winners, on behalf of DHL Africa, who were joined by SA Rugby Legend, Tonderai Chivhanga, courtesy of Brightrock, making this experience an even more memorable one. Our team of professionals were back on the field at halftime and successfully managed the DHL Halftime Run Challenge. Five lucky contestants got to charge across the field and back for a cash prize of R1,000, courtesy of DHL Africa.

We activated the exclusive PostNet Kids Signing Session with the after the match, where twenty lucky kids from Silverlea Primary School had the opportunity to meet and greet DHL Stormers players and get their t-shirts signed on the field. An exciting introduction to the world of rugby!
