Treble activates Bestmed and WP School of Excellence sponsorship with motivational season launch

On Wednesday, 19 October 2016, Treble activated the official 2016/2017 season launch of the Bestmed WP School of Excellence programme, at Stellenberg High School in Stellenryk. This is part of Treble’s commitment as the account managers for the Bestmed WP School of Excellence sponsorship.

The Bestmed WP School of Excellence identifies young talent and creates a platform to prepare and develop the aspiring players with the skills they need in order to become the WP Rugby heroes of the future.

Parents and kids were invited to attend the launch. The highlight of the evening was guest speaker, DHL WP Rugby and DHL Stormers player Sikhumbuzo Notshe, who spoke about his journey from the Bestmed WP School of Excellence right through to the senior team. He left the players with words of encouragement; to remain humble and true to yourself.

Some of the U19 and U21 DHL WP Rugby players, Bestmed and WP Rugby management, were all present to show their support to the young players.

General Manager of WPRFU Amateur Rugby, Danny Jones, and Bestmed Executive of Sales, Marketing and Distribution, Chris Luyt, gave moving motivational speeches and handed the boys their Bestmed WP School of Excellence pins and goodie bags.

In addition, the evening marked the official launch of the “School of Excellence” tab on the Western Province Rugby website (https://www.wprugby.com) which will be the new home for all the latest Bestmed WP School of Excellence news and events.

Congratulations to all of those who are taking part in the Bestmed WP School of Excellence programme. We wish all the athletes every success. May your dreams and aspirations come true, as you embark on the journey to become the WP Rugby legends of the future.

The Springbok Supporters’ Club hosted Boktown events around South Africa during the Castle Lager Rugby Championships, at the following venues:

  • Montecasino, Johannesburg
  • Silverstar Casino, Johannesburg
  • Suncoast Durban, Durban

In addition to the venues mentioned above, the Springbok games were screened at these venues:

  • Hemingways, East London
  • Emnotweni, Nelspruit
  • Golden Horse, Pietermaritzburg
  • Garden Route, Mossel Bay

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the passionate Bok Supporters for showing your support at Boktown.
