Today, 24 July 2015, marks the 20 year anniversary of the day the Bokke brought home the 1995 Rugby World Cup trophy! The Springboks united an entire nation in hope and with a magnificent drop-goal; they won the Rugby World Cup for the very first time.
As Madiba stepped onto the field at Ellis Park to hand over the trophy to Francois Pienaar, the crowd chanted his name and South Africa united as one. This is a true iconic moment in South African history.
This will be the first Rugby World Cup without Mr Nelson Mandela. The Springbok Supporters Club will encourage supporters to get behind the Boks as Madiba did.
As South Africans, we felt the #MadibaMagic, now as a nation let’s feel and fuel the #BokMagic!
