Franschhoek Rugby Disaster Relief Fund

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Franschhoek RFC and their family members, who lost loved ones and whose loved ones suffered serious injuries after the terrible accident.

The DHL Stormers and the Sharks held a moment’s silence for those affected in the tragic bus accident involving the Franschhoek RFC before the game on Saturday.

The Western Province Rugby Football Union, under the leadership of President Thelo Wakefield, has since stepped up and launched a much-needed Franschhoek Rugby Disaster Relief Fund to help the club members who cannot afford the medical costs.

The WPRFU opened the fund with a sizeable contribution on Monday morning, an amount that was all but matched by the Treble Group. If you would like to contribute to the Franschhoek Rugby Disaster Relief Fund, the account details are as follows:
